Beacon features a light pole with a mirrored ball that glows red keeping time with a fast-paced breathing rhythm, evocative of strong emotional heartbeats. The mirrored ball illustrates the celebratory nature of clubbing, while the pulsing rhythm evokes a sense of intense euphoria yet also represents urgency and warning. The light pole stands for the external environment right outside of the club and is the threshold of escaping into the clubs and escaping from the clubs. The fast rhythm alludes to the heartbeat of a person caught up in the moment, feeling the rush of the music and the energy of the crowd, while also reflecting the intense experiences that can occur in nightlife spaces. This is the dichotomy of nightlife spaces - the sense of belonging and freedom they provide, as well as the dangers that can lurk within.
