As baseball has expanded as a global sport, so has the baseball bat as a symbol of jock campus culture. This culture cages what boys should do. To subvert the use of the symbol, I negated the function of the bat by creating it out of clear packing tape. The colorful twinkle lights that radiate out of the bat represent all the flamboyant features that anyone could have. Neither gender nor sexual orientation matters, and everyone can be flamboyant.
