CAUTION! Dance Floor is a wall installation of forty-nine prints of caution signs arranged in a grid, replicating the energetic atmosphere of a dance floor. The fluorescent signs evoke the vibrant environment of a club or party; the figure depicted within them appears to be dancing, yet constantly falling and stumbling, highlighting the dual nature of dance floors as spaces for both exhilaration and vulnerability.
Through bold, attention-grabbing colors and familiar caution symbols, the installation captures the essence of the nightlife experience, where caution and inhibition are often disregarded in pursuit of enjoyment — recontextualizing the caution sign to invite a deeper consideration of control, abandon, and the complexities of human interaction.
